|Comments:||What a fantastic race. Seriously cold and windy, but beautiful
sunshine on the south coast. 3,000+ foot of climbing on the route, all
off road, but well signed and marshalled, slightly short of a full
marathon distance, but expect normal marathon time + 30 mins if you're
racing it. I stopped for tea, cakes, chats and photos, but still
suffered along with everyone else in the last b*st*rd miles along the
Seven Sisters. Then just as you hit the top of the last climb, you're
hit by 25 mph winds right in your face. If you didn't laugh you'd have
to cry. Fabulous friendly atmosphere, a lot of people even seem to run
this one as their first marathon.
I'll be back!
