|Comments:||The inaugural Bristol + Bath marathon was a race of two
cities, and a race of two halves. The first half shares
roughly the same initial 10 miles as the Bristol Half
marathon, dead flat taking in the SS Great Britain and
the Clifton Suspension Bridge along the way.
Then around mile 12 you head out of Bristol along the
A431 to Bath, taking in hills of varying sizes at Miles
15, 17, 18, 20-21, 23 and 25. Most of the last 10k is
"undulating", and it even includes an uphill stretch into
Victoria Park to the finish.
Very well supported along the way, with plenty of water
stations and great medal. The only downside is there was
no race t-shirt which you'd expect for the £50 entry fee.
If you like your road marathon to be hilly, then this is
the race for you!
