Article:Headington Rewarded for Women's Running Successes Headington RoadRunners have received a grant from UK Athletics to help them build their women's squad further. The grant, awarded under the Excellence programme of UK Athletics new Clubs:future Scheme is a reward for the success that the HRR women's teams have had over the last few years. The grant will support the training of two new club coaches, allow more squad training sessions to be developed and will create a Headington Women's Endurance Running roadshow which will be used to publicise the squad and will hopefully attract new young athletes into the club. Over the last few years, Headington's women's team have moved firmly into the top 5 within the south of England on the road and on the country. It is hoped that this award will allow this success to be continued into the future. If you are interested in joining the Headington women's squad or are interested in coaching or sponsorship then further information can be obtained from Mark Hirst (01865) 750371
