| Comments: | The first 5k of year was run in warm, sunny and breezy conditions with the latter probably taking the its toll on some of the times. Chris Dettmar, the 2013 series winner, was the fastest runner just under a minute ahead of Richard Baskerville. Chris scored highest on the age-grading sytem and has posted a challenging target for the rest of the series. Diane Moore was the fastest woman, despite the wind she improved her best 80+ score as did Richard. John Griffiths also scored >80. Further down the field there were several notable performances, including Kenny and Kevin who also ran the Oxford Park Run as a warm up. My thanks to Chris Jones and Richard G. who helped at the finish - much appreciated. Round 2 is included in the HRR road championships and will be held on Saturday 31 May. |
