Comments:The first timetrial of the year saw 82 runners equal the
highest ever turnout on this course. Liz Turner made her
debut last September and obviously spent her winter
training hard as she got a new PB by nearly 2 minutes.
Your intrepid reporter was refused entry to the women's
changing room while seeking a photo of the Time Trial
winner for the newsletter. I had to make do with a visit
to the men's to get a picture of Kit, who missed out on
the win by just 5 seconds in his 52nd outing, while
Richard Ashby and Maria Frykfors were close behind as
fastest man and woman. The other notable PB came from
Steve Cowls who beat his best by 38 seconds, a fact that
nearly went unrecorded when he noted down the wrong disc
number on the sheet. Let that be a warning to the rest
of you!
