This was a new course for the last XC of the season. Held at the
scenic Henley Showground with plenty of hills and uneven footing
combined with plenty of rain beforehand. This made it a challenge
but it gave back with a lovely downhill finish. It seemed like a proper
XC course, especially as the wind was strong and rain always at
least threatened. Thanks to Kit and Philip for all the organising
again. Next one is in October!
(Philip adds) Individual results for the women included: Helen Turley, 2nd V3; Sarah Grylls, 1st V4 and 2nd in the series; and Diane Foster, 3rd V1 in the series. And for the men: Fergus Campbell 1st V2; Kenny Lowies 3rd V2 and 2nd in the series; John Griffiths 2nd V3 (in spite of a heavy fall) and 2nd in the series. Both women's and men's A teams were 7th on the day and 5th in the series.
