Comments: A great race with 12,500 runnners this year. Very fast and flat, this run starts and finishes in the middle of Leeds city center and is very well supported for the entire race distance. The course isn't the most scenic, being a 5k out & 5k back along the A65, but highly recommended for PB potential. The winner did a mid 29 - and the first female in pos 140 ish was Louise Damen - a GB squad runner, giving some idea of the quality of the field. Many runners not in their right start pen meant a very slow start and Ed got bogged down, losing time, and the concertina at the 5k turn point squashed everyone together. Would have been a mid/late 39 otherwise. Excuses, excuses... Clare ran very well, scoring a massive 2 minute PB!
