Thanks to Barry for entering the results. This was my first ever XC race (if you don't count those events in school that were just an excuse for the PE teacher to have the afternoon off), having resisted for years on the grounds that the whole thing sounds mad. Having now done it, I can confirm that I was right, it is mad, but also hugely enjoyable. It was great to see so many HRR members enjoying the autumn sunshine, and then enjoying the pub afterwards.
