A nice course in a public park at the bottom of the M11 in Essex. Mostly on rough parkland and through the woods.
Despite being on the top of a hill it was very wet indeed. My race was the first of the day so it was not too boggy but Paul's was the last race in the afternoon and he may have had it a bit tougher.
I found the race very tiring and on the last of the three laps I was going quite a bit slower than at the start.
Mary battled valiantly all the way to the end despite being on her own for a lot of the time. Well done to her. |
