A seriously hilly race up in Buxton, Derbyshire. Nearly 1600ft of ascent, in miles 1 to 4 and then 8 to 10. Hard work!
Views are spectacular though, and despite drizzle for the whole race, it was enjoyable. Race starts & ends at the Opera House and goes up (and down) through glorious Peak District dales.
Runners from further afield are starting to show up, I talked to runners from Norwich RR, Gt Yarmouth RR and Coventry AC. I really recommend this race - its not a PB course, but has to be one of the most scenic and friendly races in the UK - and only £12 inc t-shirt! |
