| Comments: | The final race of the Club 5k series was run in windy conditions on the A40 cycle path. Gary Harris was the fastest man, just two seconds ahead of Chris Dettmar. Diane Moore was the first woman. Going into this final race Gary and Diane were tied on an age graded score of 84.2. Gary improved on that in this race, however, Chris' score of 85.8 was better and hence he retains the Club 5k title he won last year. There were a number of very creditable performances, particularly considering the blustery wind. My thanks to all the participants and finish line helpers who have supported the series this year. |
