A good turnout of HRRs at our club race (and of helpers!) and a record number of runners altogether (476, 51 up on last year). The rain made for better running conditions than the heat earlier in the summer, with the overall men's course record broken and records also broken for Senior Men, V50, V60 (John Griffiths), V70 (Phil Kimber) and VL45 (Mara Yamauchi). Congratulations all round. Against strong competition from other clubs, in particular Abingdon who had 51 runners and won both team prizes, HRR ladies were second and the men were third. Inigo Surguy's corporate team won the corporate cup. |
