My second appearance in this Lincolnshire event in 2 years. Went to
defend my V45 category win from last year but alas came
3rd V45 this time round! A lovely event though, part of a
historic village show and the race has been going since
1965. A couple of laps around the showfield and
grandstand then takes you out into a rural fen area with
two laps around quiet and flat village roads. This year
it was monsoon conditions but better that than the
heatwave from earlier in the week. There is a brilliant
finish back onto the showfield in front of the grandstand
with commentary over the PA system. Both female and male
race winners absolutely nailed it with great times. Tech t-shirt and medal for all finishers. |
