One of the big city marathons - third time for me and it remains a firm favourite. A bit too hot this time, but that got more spectators out. Great atmosphere, lots of bands, people dancing on their balconies or having a picknick-breakfast on the roadside watching all the runners coming past. Crowded at the start and at the drinks stations - but this is the only minus to the otherwise great organization, including a very thorough post-race massage and plenty of (alcohol-free) beer for re-fuelling. Already feeling tempted to do it again next year... |
