Bourton 10k

The Bourton 10K consists of two laps around the centre of Bourton followed by an out-and-back section along the road that goes towards Great Rissington and then another 1.75 laps around the centre.

The race was well marshalled, and as usual there was a lot of enthusiastic support in the centre of Bourton and a lot of runner camaraderie between about 4.5K and 6K when we met runners going the other way.

Like last year, it was cold. It started to drizzle as we started running and rain greeted the tail-enders as they approached the finish.

The winner was Dan Robinson (Stroud & District) with a time of 0:30:08.
Steve Naylor (Woodstock Harriers) was second in 0:30:39.
The female winner was Rose-Anne Galligan (Gloucester) with a time of 0:35:08.
Diane Moore (HRR, pictured above) was the second female home with a time of 0:38:17.
Cheltenham & County Harriers won the Men's Team Prize.
HRR (Diane, Charlotte Harris and Eirini Flouri) won the Ladies Team Prize.

33 HRR runners took part and 13 of them finished in the top ten of their age category. In particular, Diane Moore came 1st in the LV35, Ian Meadowcroft was 2nd in the MV45 and Imogen Matthews was 2nd in the LV55 category.
