A thoroughly well-organised event run by Reading Road Runners - ideal and very popular as a pre-London Marathon training run. Event consists of two concurrent 10 and 20 mile races; very well marked and marshalled; with chip timimg.
Two Laps of a flatish 10 mile course held on mainly rural roads - ideal for a consistent paced training run.
Conditions: Dry and chilly with a slight breeze; light drizzle for the second lap turning to persistant rain for the later finishers.
Competition at the sharp end of the race very swift.
Malcolm Bayer (ex-HRR) ran a very good time to be 2nd MV40.
