Three HRR women travelled to Birmingham to represent Oxfordshire in this scarily high-quality event. Helen rounded off her season in fine style, with another top-50 finish (to put that into context, Olympic 1,500m runner Charlene Thomas finished in 17th, and modern pentathlon silver medallist Heather Fell in 129th); while Charlotte and I achieved our more modest goal of not humiliating ourselves! A fantastic day out, and an event that I feel privileged to have been a part of. How often do you get to stand on the start line next to Steph Twell (in Helen's case, quite literally) and a host of other stars? |
