The second round of the 2013 5k series was held in, unusually for this year, pleasant spring-like conditions.
Chris Dettmar was the fastest runner, no one has run quicker in the series since May 2008, and also had the best age graded score. In the 14 year history of the HRR 5k series only Allison Hirst has bettered his score (see https://www.hrr.org.uk/5k/). Jude Craft was the fastest woman and highest scorer improving her score from round one. Rob Webster (guest Oxford City AC) improved his best 80 plus score. There were several personal bests amongst the rest of the field.
This round will also be included in the 2013 HRR road race championship where the "Time Position" column will be used as basis for scoring.
Round 3 is on Saturday 27 July.
