Despite the damp conditions there was good turnout for Round 2 of the 2018 Club 5k series. The fastest runner was Matthew Rallison (Oxford City AC). running as a guest with the first sub-16 minute performance for a number of years. As in round 1 Mika Vesterinen was the first HRR runner, around 40s ahead of a group of five runners including Diane Foster the fastest woman.
On the age-graded scoring Diane was the winner recording a Club 5k series personal best of 87.3 and hence stills leads the series. There were several other 80-plus scores recorded with Simon Dales and Kenny Lowies improving their series bests. Mark Jones also scored over 80 for his first time.
The time-based results will be collated and included in the HRR Road Championship. Thanks to John Griffiths or helping at the finish and Manny Stone for taking the photos.
