In a break from a fifteen year tradition the third round of this year’s Club 5k took place on a Thursday club night. Thirty one participants braved the somewhat, in parts, overgrown cycle path (lets hope the council find the strimmer before the H5). Gary Harris led the field just three seconds ahead of Dan George. Maria Frykfors was the first woman finisher in 19:42. On the age graded scores again Gary and Dan were the leaders. Gary’s one second improvement on his round 2 run improved his age score to 84.2 and hence we now have a tie for best score in the series between Gary and Diane Moore.
The final chance for either of them, or anyone else, to improve the leading 2016 score will be on Saturday 24 September.
