Wet, but made for some pleasant running on this fast, flat course - apart from in the last few miles when it got a bit blustery. (Not particularly impressed with the four men who decided to tuck in behind me at that point). On the whole, fairly well organised but they could have done with a few more marshals in places, and some signage to let cars know what was going on. They also try to start a half marathon and 10K race within a few minutes of each other on the same course. The half went first this year - I wouldn't have been too happy if I'd been one of the frontrunners in the 10K. And we missed the presentations completely while we were getting changed! (Women have only been scored as seniors and over-40s) |
