This has become a regular race for me and worth a trip down the A34. It's a 9am start so a good opportunity to hear the dawn chorus when the alarm clock sounded. Efficiently organised with road closures ensuring a smooth path. I noticed there were pacers this year (40/45/50/55 mins). The course certainly has pb potential with just one minor climb between 3-4km. Good crowd support as you go through the start area again at 6km. Tech t-shirt for all entries, bananas and Jaffa cakes at the finish. Like most races on Sunday, it was a bit blustery, especially in the final 2km. |
