One of the oldest races in the country, first run in 1933, consisting of four 5 mile laps of an undulating urban course.
Conditions: Dry and warming, but blustery towards the end.
Interesting to compete in a race outside Oxfordshire and to see representatives of many different clubs from London and further afield.
Ideal event for a paced preparation run for the spring marathons, but competition at the sharp end very hot amongst the London clubs.
Recommended as part of a spring marathon training programme.
