One of the oldest races in the country, first run in 1933, consisting of four 5 mile laps of an undulating urban/rural course in and around Ruislip and Ickenham.
A popular pre-London Marathon event well-organised by Hillingdon AC (a large 700+ member club) with good marshalling and Police on duty
Ideal event for a paced preparation run for the spring marathons, but competition at the sharp end very hot amongst the London clubs.
Perfect conditions - cool and still for the 9:30am start leading to glorious sunshine with the slightest cooling breeze.
Good hot showers followed by excellent tea, rolls and cakes in the clubhouse.
