Type: Multi-terrain
Comments: I made it, but the second half did not go quite to plan, as I suffered from blisters too bad to describe. I thought 3 miles per hour would be the slowest I would ever have to put up with, but it is amazing how much determination I needed to keep going at 2 miles an hour at times. Other than that it was a marvellous event, with almost ideal weather, a support crew I could really rely on and a route that is well worth experiencing. I was astonished how rural it remained right into the centre of London with pleanty of herons and other wildlife. Huge thanks to all the messages received during the race, to the web-man Simon for the live updates and especially to my support crew Marie-Anne, Laurie, Yiannis, Vincci and Stuart.
