A friendly village race, held in crisp clear conditions within the boundaries of one private farm on the edge of the village of Hardwick, just north of Aylesbury.
The conditions underfoot were very firm in places with frost still in the ground.
The driest conditions for this race for many years, apparently, with the three stream crossings being at worst knee deep.
(I COUNTED 6 STREAM CROSSINGS, ALL ICY COLD! - FRANCIS)
(FRANK OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T COUNT THE ONES WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO WADE. I DIDN'T LIKE THE ONE WITH THE ROPE ! - LAURIE).
Prize-giving held in the nearby village hall.
Recommended.
Congratulations to Mark Richards and Laurie Hurman, who were 1st MV40 and 1st MV50 respectively.
