This race is part of the Heckington Show in Lincolnshire.
The show started in 1863 and the 10 mile race was first
run in 1965. So a good bit of history there. The race is
capped at 300 as the roads are quite narrow and open to
traffic. It starts and finishes on a lap of a grass track
in front of the grandstand. Super friendly and well
organised, and the show was brilliant (traditional
agricultural/country show). £16 included entry to the
race, the show and a hoodie. Pleased with 1st M45,
although in the interests of transparency, there was 2
V50s in front of me. |
