A great little village race starting and finishing in Longworth (10 miles from Oxford). Very friendly and well organised, this year attracting an international field (well, one Spanish geezer was passing by and decided he would give it a go!) The Abingdon School cross country club also use it as an early season race (11 out of the top 20 finishers). Run entirely on paths, tracks and across fields, this year we had fishing rods to negotiate as there was an angling competition taking place on the Thames! Not one for PBs, but definitely one for scenery, variety and a nice pint afterwards ;-) |
