Julien writes: Mostly dry conditions this year at Man v Horse, despite some light showers overnight and in the morning. Cool temperatures initially, although it got a bit warmer through the day. This favoured the horses who snatched the first 4 places. We all got overtaken by the first horses much earlier than we expected!
Tough course as the race is known for. Note the course was longer this year (23.9 miles according to the organisers) so all finishing times are a bit longer.
3 first timers this year, with the return of Chris Prince in a HRR vest! (as a 2nd claim member).
Julien, Fergus and Chris made up the HRR team and finished 3rd team, although the first 2 teams looked much younger so there is a credible claim to be first Vet team!
Quite an experience to see these large beasts power their way up the hills and through the paths!
Fergus and Chris were respectively 4th and 5th VM50.
Julien was 6th VM40 and 10th runner overall (ignoring 1 relay team ahead)
