Those who have not done Milton Keynes before it is a big event but well organised, nice medal and technical T shirt, decent goody bag and reasonably priced. Reasonable amount of support, well marshalled traffic free but deceptively up and down this is not flat by any means. the only down side really is the staged start, nearly 18 minutes to cross the start line from the last pen we were in but chipped
timed so all good.
Always good to finish in A stadium to the roar of the crowd!
Having bullied Helen, Julia and Samantha into doing their 1st Half Marathon after a
few longer training runs it was a good day out with other HRR.
Fantastic performance from Pedro to finish 29th overall out of 3008 Half Marathon
finishers
The last Half Marathon finisher recorded a staggering time of 5:24:42!!
The Marathon winner passed us just before we entered he Stadium although he did have a 17 minute head start on us! :-)
Well done to Ulen on completing the full Marathon distance! :-) |
