The route is the Ridgeway from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury. There is a 10am start for those who expect to take more than 24 hours, and a 12 noon start for those aiming for under 24 hours. It was a baking hot day, but quite pleasant conditions at night.
I ran well for about 12 hours, then started to wobble, so had to rest for an hour at a Checkpoint (and supplied with tea by the marshalls from Swindon Striders) before continuing the final 16 miles. Neville ran along with me for a few miles around Wendover. The winner broke last year's record by about 50 mins. 55 started, 40 finished.
