After a sunny Saturday where we had to collect our numbers
from the expo, Sunday started of wet. Although nothing could
dampen the spirits when running up to the Vatican.
Some wonderful sights on the way around - and very welcome
cheers of support in Piazza Navona! No as much support for a
capital city marathon as you may expect, and the Italians
aren't renowned for organisational excellence (the start
pens were a joke), but otherwise a very enjoyable race. Even
with 7km of cobbles!
I ran with a friend, and we took our newly acquired selfie-
sticks for an extended sightseeing tour of the city :) |
