The inaugural running of this very undulating and extremely picturesque off-road 10k on Oxford’s doorstep. There were plenty of hills to sap the legs but also some flat sections and of course downhills to enjoy, including the final stretch which allowed a sprint finish and a panoramic view across north Oxford and over towards Beckley. Despite the recent rain there were only a few bits of mud early on in which to slide about. Beautiful woodland scenery throughout, and a lovely handmade ceramic medal at the end for our efforts. Well organised too. Definitely recommended for a glorious running experience, if not for a PB! |
