A well-established race that takes place - as the name suggests - on the last Friday of every month in Hyde Park. You get what you might expect for a bargain £2.00 entry - race HQ is a bandstand, you just turn up and run. But it is well organised and marshalled, and scenic. The course is about as flat as you could get, although there are four sharp turns to negotiate. I can't blame them for my slower-than-hoped-for time, though: conditions were near perfect, I just couldn't get my legs moving fast enough over the first couple of kms. |
