The 2nd running of this low-key event saw over 70 runners
line up by the seaside in Deal, Kent, to sing two verses of
"Jerusalem" before heading south for a hundred yards or so
past Walmer Castle before turning to head 2½ miles along the
coast path. Passing Walmer RNLI Station, Deal Castle and
Deal Pier before turning round at the remains of Sandown
Castle back to the start. 5 laps later and the race is run!
Red & White were the colours of the day, and there were even
a few knights of the realm in attendance. Huge medal and
fantastic goody bag to all finishers. |
