The 42nd running of the Stroud half marathon, I’ve done 6 of them so a familiar course. Perfect conditions this time and over 1200 finishers in a typically well organised and friendly event that engages the local community along the way. This is a gently undulating rather than a hilly course, along the valley, with the exception of a bit of a climb between 6 and 7 miles. The world record was broken for a half marathon carrying a 55kg pack – 2:56:05. Recommended if you’re looking for a decent autumn half. |
