Comments: Limited to just 35 entrants - this freebie was a raffle give-away to Enigma Running regulars (find Enigma Running on Facebook, and like their page to keep up-to-date with future events, which sell out now up to a year in advance). I had told myself that I wasn't going to enter any more Enigma marathons this year (other than those I'd already signed up for), but who can resist the chance of running a marathon for free? This one was at the smaller Furzton Lake next door to the Milton Keynes Bowl (1.5 miles around - so 17 and a bit laps). Easter Monday started off grim and grey, but soon turned into a warm sunny day. I felt great for the first half, doing it comfortably in 2h15m (so just setting myself up for a potential course best of 4½ hours), but then fatigue set in coupled with the fact that I'd done 39 miles on Friday, necessitating a few walking breaks, and in the end meaning I came in slower than my previous marathon (I was hoping to at least beat 4h50m). After a bit of a break, I joined some friends for a final lap of the lake - bringing my total for the Friday/Monday to 67 miles.
