This ever-popular 1 lap 11+ mile tough single-lap multi-terrain race with over 900 runners was run in cool, breezy conditions. The course is mostly off road, following footpaths, lanes and bridleways. After leaving Pewsey, the route hits the tranquil towpaths of the Kennet & Avon canal, followed by a gentle skip across wet farm land and out into the rolling Wiltshire countryside. Some very steep climbs and descents on route culminate with "The Sting in the Tail" and "The Shoe Wash" stream crossing.
Excellent views, hot showers, home-made cakes and good organisation continue to make this a great event
