Comments: If you like a challenging road course this is it! Massive Hill from about 3/4 mile to a mile and a half up through a very picturesque Wycombe Abbey. Took me (a comfortable 9 minute miler) 11 minutes to do the 1st mile and 9:40 to do the 2nd but once at the top lots of fast down hill stretches to make up some of that time although this was countered by a strong head wind the last 4 miles. Not as hot as it could have been at this time of year. Very well organised race with chip timing, lots of drink and sponge stations very frequently. Mass start this year with the 1st ever Wycombe 10k with the runners splitting part way round, Despite the massive park on which it started due to number of runers a bottle neck out of the park which brought us runners who were pacing ourselves better towards the back to a standstill for a moment. Good free parking near to start and finish, lots of very hot showers but get their early for the Toilet, isn't that right Oliver? Congratulations to Vasily who I think was 3rd Vet M40! Quite true Graham and i couldn't find any en route either! That aside it was a very well organised race and an interesting hill to deter fast starters.A good half to put on the regular fixture list. Thanks to Graham for driving.
