Club 5K: Race 2

Date: May 21, 2022

The HRR club 5k returns for its 21st series at the end of March after two years Covid-19 induced absence. As always the results will be determined on an age-graded basis –with the series winner being the runner who posts the highest score in any round. There is no need to commit to doing the whole series you can just turn up and run as many as you like, there is no entry fee. The entry process is simple -sign-in and pick up a number 15-30 minutes before the start from OXSRAD.  The course is out and back along the ring road cycle path, starting and finishing alongside the slip road about 50m beyond the time trial start. The turn point is the second lamp post after the cycle/foot bridge at Cutteslowe.  The main change since 2019 -as was originally intended in 2020 -is there will be three rounds rather than four. We decided to drop the September round due to race calendar pressures; there are two GP races, plus the Round Norfolk relay on Saturdays in the first weeks of September.  As in previous years the second round will be included in the HRR 2022 road race championship (where the points will be calculated on a time basis). The third and final round will be on a Thursday club evening, and technology willing, we should know the overall winner of the series on the night.
The dates are:
•Round 1: Saturday 26 March -10:00 am
•Round 2: Saturday 21 May –10:00 am

•Round 3: Thursday 21 July –7:30 pm
